Broadway Bound’s proposal to Seattle Parks included a phased approach to renovations over several years to allow prioritization of urgent issues and gathering input on specific improvements from the community. Phase 1, planned for 2023, is nearly complete. It included roof repairs, mitigation of water intrusion at the foundation and installation of rigging and basic lighting/sound equipment in the auditorium, as well as work on a full condition assessment and development of as-built drawings to serve as reference to all future improvement work.

Broadway Bound will spearhead efforts to secure funding for renewing Magnuson Park Theater. This will include applying for available grant funding, requesting corporate contributions, soliciting donations from our own community and the community at large, and sponsoring capital events to raise money for capital improvements.
